There are currently over 16,000 identified homeless students in the Los Angeles Unified School District -- up 3,000 from last year. Despite their parents’ efforts to better their situation, challenges still remain in this economy.

Please consider sponsoring a family this holiday season. Grab a group of co-workers, friends, family, soccer team or a networking group. You’d be surprised how a little goes a long way. 

Here are some details to know about sponsoring a family:

Approximate costs incurred by the sponsor ...

Family of 3 (1 parent, 2 kids): Approx: $130

Family of 4: (2 parents, 2 kids): Approx: $180

Family of 5: (2 parents, 3 kids): Approx: $230

Family of 6: (2 parents, 4 kids): Approx: $280

Wish Lists ...

We are asking sponsors to provide one garment per family member. In addition, each child should receive 1-2 toys, and the family should receive one household item (pot, pan, blanket, etc.) and a grocery store gift card (Valued at $10 per family member). We will provide you with your assigned family's wish list.

Delivery ...

Please wrap and label all items for your family, then deliver or mail them by December 2, 2011 to our main office located at 1430 South San Julian Street, # 7, Los Angeles, CA 90015; or one of the following locations :
